Please note! We are currently closed for the Seasonal close down (to allow for annual staff training and refurbishment to take place). The Coffee Shop will re-open as normal at 9am on 20th January 2026.

We would like to thank everyone who has visited us and shown support to the Coffee Shop since we opened the doors back in late June 2025. Every visit also supports the local community because ACT is a Registered Charity that has been working for the benefit of Aylesham and the surrounding area since 1995.    

We have been blown away by the positive feedback we have had and are delighted that the new space has been so busy. We are hearing that people are especially enjoying the coffee, which is wonderful as this is the result of a unique collaboration with Mr Coffee, who roasts the blends here on our site – super fresh!

The Old School Coffee Shop & Kitchen weekly Sunday Carvery service is now licensed and is open for bookings. We have a limited capacity for seating so strongly advise you to book in as early as possible as we may not be able to accommodate walk-ins on the day.

The Old School Coffee Shop & Kitchen was launched because of a clear need to have more social spaces where people could meet within Aylesham. This new space offers delicious food and drink including hearty and affordable meals that are all freshly made using good quality ingredients from local suppliers. All this without having to leave the village!  Just a short stroll from Aylesham Market Square with plenty of free on-site parking available.

The project has been delivered with a grant and business loan from the Kent Community Foundation, a grant from the Dover District Council Rural Prosperity Fund and by a generous donation of kitchen equipment from SAGA.

We are proud to have created 4 new jobs already and hope we can keep building on this to offer more employment opportunities alongside new services that the village community can access and enjoy.

Our future plans include extending the main opening hours, themed evening dining events and affordable wedding, funeral and event packages using our very pretty Main Hall and in collaboration with local businesses. If this is of interest to you please do talk to us!
